    Spaghetti and Meatballs

    This recipe uses a Perfectly Balanced pasta sauce and ground pork, which is low in fat, making this a healthy dish

    Serves: 4


    • 500g pack Waitrose Ground British Pork
    • ½ tsp Bart Spices, Freeze Dried Oregano
    • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
    • 2 x 350g tubs Waitrose Perfectly Balanced Fresh Tomato and Herb Sauce
    • 300g dried spaghetti
    • 2 tbsp freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano
    • ½ tsp salt
    • Freshly ground black pepper


    1. Place the pork in a large bowl and mix in the oregano, cayenne pepper and seasoning. With damp hands, shape into 20 small meatballs.
    2. Heat a large non-stick sauté pan and cook the meatballs for 5 minutes, shaking the pan occasionally, until they are golden in colour. Add the sauce, bring to the boil and simmer gently for 15 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.
    3. Meanwhile, bring a large pan of cold water to the boil and cook the spaghetti for 10-12 minutes, or until just cooked. Drain well. Divide between 4 bowls and top each bowl with some meatballs and sauce. Serve with the grated cheese and freshly ground black pepper.
