Mulled Apple Juice (For The Children)

Serves: 4

Ingredients

1 Cox’s apple
1 star anise
2 cinnamon sticks, halved
6 whole cloves
2-3 tbsp Waitrose Scottish Heather Honey
1 litre Waitrose Pressed Apple Juice

Method

  1. Pour 1 litre Waitrose Pressed Apple Juice into a large pan and stir in 2-3 tbsp Waitrose Scottish Heather Honey with 6 whole cloves, 2 cinnamon sticks, halved, and 1 star anise. Heat gently and simmer without boiling for 10 minutes.
  2. Add 1 Cox’s apple, unpeeled but cored and thinly sliced, and heat gently for a few minutes until the apple slices are tender. Ladle into mugs or heatproof glasses and drink warm.
