    Plum pudding punch

    Celebrate the taste of Christmas with this spicy cocktail

    Serves: 1


    15ml amaretto
    15ml Cognac
    75ml spiced plum juice (see below)
    10ml syrup from a jar of Opies Black Cherries with Kirsch*
    1 black cherry from the same jar, to garnish 

    For the spiced plum juice (makes approx 600ml juice)
    750g plums
    400ml water
    50g sugar
    2 small cinnamon sticks 


    1.Wash and halve the plums and remove the stones. 

    2. Add all the ingredients for the spiced plum juice to a pan and simmer gently for 25 minutes. Strain through muslin and leave to cool. (It keeps for up to a week in the fridge.) 

    3. For the cocktail, add all ingredients except the cherry to an iced-filled cocktail shaker and shake. Strain into a coupe and garnish with a cherr
