Dice

Small uniform cubes of any solid ingredient eg cheese or carrots, about 5mm in length and depth. To dice, cut food into even-sized thick strips and then slice crosswise into cubes.

Diced

Food that has been chopped into dice (small uniform cubes of any solid ingredient eg cheese or carrots, about 5mm in length and depth), eg add the diced carrots to the soup.
