Bean sprouts

Very popular in Oriental cookery, the most widely used bean sprouts are the sprouts of the green mung bean. They add a delicious crunchy texture to savoury dishes.

Uses:
Bean sprouts can be added to a wide range of dishes, but are especially popular in stir fries and as a main ingredient in pancake rolls. They can also be added raw to salads.

To store:
Keep for 2-3 days in the fridge.

To prepare:
Rinse thoroughly in cold water and pat dry with kitchen paper.

To cook: Add to stir fry recipes a couple of minutes before the end of the cooking time.
