Pine nuts

These are the seeds of many different species of pine. Italy and Spain, where they're called Pignola and Piñon, are the leading exporters.

To store: Store in a cool dry place. Once opened store in an airtight container and consume within 7 days.

Uses: Ground with basil, Parmesan cheese and oil to produce pesto or sprinkled into salads.
