Tacos

Tacos

These are small Mexican corn pancakes which are folded and deep fried. Tacos have a crisp texture and break quite easily.

Uses: Tacos are folded just enough to be filled. They are traditionally served hot filled with savoury stuffings, one of the most popular combinations of stuffings is chilli con carne (or vegetarian chilli), topped with soured cream and grated cheese. A mixture of cooked chicken, peppers and onions also tastes delicious. Tacos can be served as a main course or as part of a Mexican style-meal.

To store: Keep in a cool, dry place and eat by the best before date. Once opened keep in an airtight container and use within 1 week.

To prepare: Heat the tacos in a preheated oven for 2-3 minutes (check the packet for specific instructions).
