Szechaun sauce

Szechaun sauce

A medium-spiced ready-to use Oriental stir-fry sauce with tomatoes, garlic, soy sauce, chillies and ginger. Szechuan sauce is available as a fresh sauce, Oriental Szechuan stir fry sauce and in a bottle, Chinese spicy tomato Szechuan sauce at Waitrose.

Uses: Szechuan sauce can be added to stir-fried chicken, pork, beef, prawns, tofu or vegetables. Serve with steamed rice or boiled noodles.

To store: Fresh sauce: Store in the fridge and consume by the use by date, fresh Szechuan sauce is suitable for home freezing. Bottled sauce: keep in a cool dry place for up to 2 years. Once opened store in the fridge and use within 3 days.

To cook: Stir fry the meat and vegetables of your choice and once cooked, stir in the Szechuan sauce, heat until piping hot and serve.
