When it comes to Christmas dinner, turkey rules the roast.
We all worry about buying, preparing and cooking our turkey but this year we’ve strived to make the whole process as stress-free as possible.
Our food technologists have spent months cooking hundreds of turkeys to find the perfect combination of cooking time and temperature - and rest-assured, we only buy turkeys from farmers we know and trust.
We have an abundance of turkey recipes, alongside lots of tips and techniques to help you cook your turkey (and trimmings!) to perfection.
About our turkeys
All Waitrose turkeys come from British and Irish farms, and are reared by carefully chosen farmers who share our values and work to our standards on quality, food safety and animal welfare.
We know every farmer we work with, which means we can trace every bird back to the farm where it was reared. Put simply, the better we look after our birds, the tastier the meat they produce.
It's not all about the meat…
We’ve teamed up with 6 vegetarian bloggers and asked them to create recipes with their own spin on great-tasting vegetarian Christmas dishes.
- Sarah’s three veg and cheese pudding
- Becca’s mushroom and chestnut pie
- Lucy’s spinach, mushroom and tomato tarts
- Mina’s vegetable and nut wellington
- Cathy’s Brussels sprouts and goat’s cheese tart
- Anna’s Posh Veggie Nut Roast Recipe
While all Waitrose recipes are tested extensively, we do not test any of the community recipes, so cannot verify the results or answer queries concerning them.
