Chocolate Brownies

Gooey has to be the best word to describe this brownie and the slight crunch as you bite through the shell makes you fall in love with it evan more.

Serves: 6


  • 115g plain flour
    285g caster sugar
    5 tablespoons cocoa powder
    115g butter
    Few drops vanilla essence
    2 eggs


  1. Sieve together the flour, sugar and cocoa powder. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Melt the butter and add to the mix.
  3. Whip the eggs and add, together with the vanilla.
  4. Mix all ingredients until smooth.
  5. Put a sheet of greaseproof paper in a 20cm baking tin preferable square, and then add the mix.
  6. Bake in a 170oC-preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until firm on top.
  7. Leave to cool then slice. Enjoy!!
