Enjoying a drink


A popular brandy-based spirit that is sweetened and flavoured with orange peel and several other secret ingredients. It is a colourless liquid and has a strong orange aroma with a hint of herbs. It is a main ingredient in a wide variety of cocktails including a White Lady (Cointreau and gin) or a Balalaika (Cointreau and vodka). For a simpler drink, it is delicious served simply with cubed or crushed ice.

Uses: The strong orange flavour of Cointreau marries well with sweet and savoury ingredients - it adds a boozy flavour to orange sauce for duck or pork and a variety of chocolate and fruit desserts.
