Tapenade

Tapenade

A rich, soft spread made from olives and olive oil. It is sold in jars and several varieties are available including Kalamata olive and anchovy tapenade which has a rich, gutsy flavour and is a dark purple colour. Sun-dried tomato and olive tapenade is a dark red colour and has a concentrated tomato and herb flavour.

For a lighter variety of tapenade, choose Green olive, lemon and coriander tapenade, it has a fruity flavour with hints of citrus and herbs.

Uses: Tapenade is traditionally spread on bread, but it can also be added to cooked pasta and used in canapés.

To store: Once opened store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
