Our Quick Oats are milled that bit lighter to help prepare your porridge more quickly in the microwave. The result is a warm, creamy, nourishing bowl of Flahavan's. This is why we're Ireland's favourite porridge oats. Beta-glucan is a soluble fibre found in oats and some other foods. Regular consumption of beta-glucan as part of a varied, balanced diet and healthy lifestyle can contribute to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels. Each serving (30g) contains 1/4 (0.75g) of the 3g of beta-glucan suggested per day to help maintain normal cholesterol levels.

    Preparation and Usage

    Adult Serving Using your easy measuring scoop. Just 3 Simple Steps to Perfect Porridge in 2 minutes... Step 1 Measure 2 level scoops (30g) of Flahavan's Irish Quick Oats Original. Step 2 Add 4 scoops (170ml) of cold water/milk in a deep bowl allowing over an inch at the top of the bowl for the oats to cook. Step 3 Microwave on high for 2 minutes, stir and serve. Childs Serving For a smaller serving use 1 scoop of oats, 2 scoops of milk/water and microwave on high for 90 seconds. This is based on 900W microwave. Cooking times will vary according to microwave wattage. As with any hot product please be careful. Quick Oats Porridge can also be prepared quickly on the hob. Wash and dry scoop after use.
