WHO CAN ENTER

This competition is open to all residents of the United Kingdom excluding Northern Ireland aged 18 years or over, except for employees of the Promoter, its associated companies, agents, third parties or anyone else professionally connected with this competition. If you are under the age of 18, you must obtain parental or guardian consent to enter and claim your prize. The Promoter may require any information that we consider reasonably necessary in order to verify your eligibility.

By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions. The instructions provided at the point of entry form part of the terms and conditions of this competition. In the event of a conflict, these terms and conditions take precedence. 

No purchase necessary. There is no charge to submit an entry via the website at www.waitrose.com/ecom/content/competitions.

DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES

Entries must be received between 00:01 on 26/04/2023 and 23:59 on 24/05/2023 (the “Closing Date”). Entries received after the Closing Date will not be accepted.

HOW TO ENTER

To enter, simply go to www.waitrose.com/ecom/content/competitions, follow the competition instructions at the top of the page and submit your details and other required information using the online form provided.

There is a limit of one entry per person. Multiple entries submitted directly or with the use of any automated systems will not be entered into the draw.

No responsibility will be accepted for entries that are lost, delayed, mislaid or damaged in transit, regardless of the cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind. 

Those entries not in accordance with the rules will be void and will entitle the Promoter to exclude the entry from the competition; any entry containing false, incomplete or misleading information will be void and will entitle the Promoter to exclude the entry from the competition. 

THE PRIZE

The prize is a holiday to Australia up to the value of £10,000 (ten thousand pounds sterling). The winner shall receive a gift voucher in the sum of £10,000 (ten thousand pounds sterling) which will display in the form of Credit on their Flight Centre UK account which the winner shall use to tailor make their holiday, choosing flights, hotels, select experiences (such as local tours/events etc) and destinations within Australia.

Included in this prize:

- Two return Economy Class flights with Flight Centre preferred airlines from London to Australia. Domestic flights within Australia if required subject to value.

- Accommodation.

- Transfers between the airport on arrival in Australia and the hotel.

Not included in this prize:

- Travel to the airport in the UK, meals, spa facilities or treatments at your accommodation, room service, gratuities, stopovers, travel insurance, visas, or any other expenses or any extras payable locally.

The Prize must be taken between 1st July 2023 to 24th May 2024. 

Black Out Dates which are not available: 17th of July to 11th September, 18th December 2023 to 8th January 2024 and 29th March to 12 April 2024. Further blackout dates may apply due to hotel availability and will be advised at time of booking.

Prize details: Two return Economy Class flights with Flight Centre preferred airlines from London to Australia. Our flight-inclusive holidays are financially protected by the ATOL scheme. Transfers within Australia from airport to hotel and accommodation at selected hotel(s) on the board basis and room type selected. You may also include select experiences as part of your package (such as local tours/events etc, including: the Outback in the Northern Territory; road trip-worthy coastlines and beach spots across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria; the cosmopolitan cities of Sydney, Brisbane, Perth or Canberra; wildlife encounters in South and Western Aus; the culinary delights you find across the country - farm-to-table concepts to freshly caught seafood, native Indigenous ingredients, food festivals and world-class restaurants; more than 2,460 wineries – Hunter, Barossa and Clare Valley). Prize is for two adults only and is non-transferrable. Does not include travel to the airport in the UK, meals, spa facilities or treatments at your accommodation, room service, gratuities, stopovers, travel insurance, visa requirements, or any other expenses or any extras payable locally. Booking is subject to hotel and flight availability. Permitted holiday duration is one month maximum. Visa requirements are the responsibility of the traveller. The prize is applicable to UK residents with a valid passport. The prize is limited to a total value of £10,000 (ten thousand pounds sterling). 

Terms: Redemption of the prize will be the responsibility of the Winner and is subject to supplier availability at the time of booking. Winner must be aged 18+ at time of travel. A minimum 14-day notice is required for all reservations. The prize is strictly non-transferable, non-negotiable and may not be replaced or refunded. The prize is valid for one holiday trip only, nights are to be used in consecutive order and cannot be split. Upon arrival at the hotel(s), the winner must present the original voucher to the hotel. Any changes, add-ons and additional costs associated with using the prize (including, additional accommodation, insurance, spending money & booking changes) are the responsibility of the Winner. The prize will be forfeited if cancellation or amendments are made by the Winner less than seven days before arrival in Australia. The Promoter (Flight Centre) takes no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prize. If the Promoter is unable to provide the Winner with the nominated prize, the Promoter may supply an alternative prize of similar monetary value. There is no cash alternative.  If the Winner does not accept any element of the prize, the Promoter is not obliged to provide the Winner with a substitute prize. If the prize is unclaimed by the prize Winner within one week, the Promoter may conduct a further draw (“Unclaimed Prize Draw”). The winner of the Unclaimed Prize Draw will be notified by email or phone. The Promoter will not be held liable for any loss, damage or injury which results directly or indirectly from this Promotion, except that which cannot be excluded by law. By entering this Promotion, entrants agree that the Promoter may use and disclose the information they provide in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy available at https://www.flightcentre.co.uk/privacy-notice.

Prizes are subject to availability. They are non-transferable, non-refundable and, unless stated, there are no cash alternatives. In the event that the prize is out of stock or if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control make it necessary to do so, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute another item, in its sole discretion, of equal or higher value. 

WINNER SELECTION

All valid and, if applicable, correct entries received by the Closing Date will be entered into a prize draw, and the winners will be picked at random.  

The winner’s details (name and county) will be available for one month after the Closing Date by sending a request to the Promoter at Flight Centre (UK) Limited, 4th Floor, 120 The Broadway, Wimbledon, London, SW19 1RH, UK

WINNER NOTIFICATION

Winners will be notified by email, text or phone call as soon as practicable after the prize draw, using the contact details provided with the competition entry. The winners will be required to respond within 30 days of notification (unless otherwise stated) confirming their acceptance of the prize. In the event winners do not respond to communications within this period or if any prize is declined, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify that winner and draw another winner. 

Please allow 30 days from the date of the winner’s address verification for delivery of the prize.

If you are the winner of the competition, you agree that the Promoter may use your name, image and county of residence to announce the winner of this competition and for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes, for no further consideration. If you object to us sharing your information please advise accordingly at customerloyalty@waitrose.co.uk. If you are the Winner, you also acknowledge that your details may be required to be provided to the Advertising Standards Agency 

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The Promoter and its associated agencies, companies and distributors will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this competition or accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including liability for fraud or death or personal injury arising from negligence) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law. Your statutory rights are not affected.

If you have opted-in to receive further information or marketing from any of the Promoter’s agents or suppliers involved in the administration of this competition, you understand and accept that the relevant third party will be solely responsible for any processing of your personal data for these purposes, that such processing will be governed by terms of that third party’s privacy policy and that the Promoter accepts no responsibility or liability in association with any such data processing for these purposes.  

GENERAL

If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions or if the Promoter believes that your conduct may be unlawful or otherwise bring the competition into disrepute, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to make your entry void and will entitle the Promoter to exclude you from participating in the competition.

The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

The Promoter reserves the right to suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so, with no liability to any entrants or third parties.

This competition and all issues arising out of it shall be governed in accordance with English Law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
