The juices from the chicken are stirred into the rich, savoury sauce, with smoky outdoor bred bacon lardons, fresh leeks, double cream, Dijon mustard, roast chicken stock and white wine. It's all baked in crumbly shortcrust pastry with a buttery puff pastry top, expertly rolled and folded for crisp, flaky layers and glazed with free range egg so it comes out of the oven beautifully golden. Our British chickens are free to roam, peck and perch in spacious, airy barns, and our bacon comes from pigs reared to higher welfare standards by British farmers who share our values.
