The term first appeared in the late 1800s, when cartoonist T.A. Dorgan sketched a sausage-in-a-bun at a baseball game and dubbed it a “hot dog” – a cheeky nod to the dachshund-like shape. The name stuck, and now it’s a global favourite — especially when made with our delicious chicken sausages.
Whilst every precaution has been taken to remove bones, some may remain.
