Steamer 15 - 20 mins
Scrub and rinse the potatoes well to remove any soil. Place in a steamer above a pan of boiling water. Cover with a lid and steam for 15-20 minutes. Serve with a knob of butter.

Hob 15 - 20 mins
Scrub and rinse the potatoes well to remove any soil and place in a pan with just enough water to cover, add salt if desired and bring to the boil. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until tender.

Oven cook (undefined)
Roast
Gas 7, 220°C, Fan 200°C, 25 - 35 mins
Preheat the oven. Peel and cut the potatoes into even-sized pieces. Parboil for 10 minutes. Drain then shake the pan to roughen the surfaces of the potatoes. Heat 4 tbsp of vegetable oil in a roasting tin. Add the potatoes and turn in the hot oil. Bake on the top shelf of the oven for 25-35 minutes, until golden and crispy. Turn occasionally.
