Small Batch. Scottish trout smoked in Scotland.We dry cure fresh trout fillets with our own recipe of salt and sugar. Curing has been used for thousands of years and not only preserves the fish but enhances the flavour and texture. Our master smokers fire our kilns with oak wood shavings, then slowly and gently smoke the fillets.
Although every care has been taken to remove all bones some may remain.

Preparation and Usage
Serving Notes This product is ready to consume without cooking. Remove from the pack ten minutes before serving to release the full flavour of our smoked Scottish trout. Return any remaining product to chilled storage immediately. Smoked trout is so versatile. How about a luxury brunch of smoked trout and scrambled eggs or part of a dinner time sharing platter along with your favourite seafood. Leftovers can be used for a homemade pâté with lemon juice and crème fraîche.
