Cooking Instructions (General)

Ensure product is thoroughly cooked, that juices run clear and that no pink colour remains.

Oven cook (From Chilled)

OVEN INSTRUCTIONS: For best results, allow the turkey to sit at room temperature for 1 hour before cooking. Size and thickness may vary cook times are given as guidance. Preheat the oven. Remove sleeve and bag, but keep crown in foil tray. Do not remove the ovenable pad, and place the foil tray in a large roasting tin. Brush crown with oil and loosely cover with foil. Place the roasting tin in the centre of the oven. During cooking: After an hour, spoon the juices at the bottom of the foil tray over the turkey crown to baste and recover with foil. Return turkey crown to the oven making sure to rotate the roasting tin. Repeat this step 34 times throughout the remaining cooking time. Remove foil 20 mins before end of cooking to brown the turkey. End of cooking: Remove from the oven. Pierce the thickest part of the breast meat with a skewer to check that there is no pink meat and the juices run clear. Once cooked, remove from the oven, cover with foil, and leave to rest for a minimum of 30 minutes before carving. (Time For cooking time see front of pack, Oven: 190°, Fan: 170°, Gas: Gas Mark 5)
