We make the filling for our Chicken & Mushroom Pie with chunks of tender British chicken, and add West Country cream and a little roasted garlic to the rich, creamy sauce. It all goes into crumbly shortcrust pastry with a flaky puff pastry lid, glazed with free range egg so the pie comes out of the oven crisp and golden. ……All our chicken is from slower reared breeds, raised with more space, by farmers who share our higher welfare values. Preheat oven. Remove all packaging except foil. Place on a baking tray in centre of oven. Heat until golden brown & piping hot. Allow to stand for 1 minute. Do not reheat once cooled. (Time 25 mins, Oven: 200°C, Fan: 180°C, Gas: Gas Mark 6)
