Preparation and Usage
Pad Thai Cooking Instructions If using chicken or vegetables, slice these. If using tofu, cut into cubes. Slice the spring onions and whisk the egg. 1. Empty the noodles from the large pouch into boiling water and cook for approx. 5 minutes, then drain and rinse under cold water. 2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a wok or large pan until hot. Stir-fry the protein or vegetables for 2-4 minutes, or until cooked. Add the herbs and spices from the pouch (include chili for extra heat) and cook for 30 seconds. 3. Move the protein to the side of the pan, add 1 tbsp oil and fry the whisked egg for 1-2 minutes, until cooked. Add the beansprouts and the spring onions. 4. Add cooked noodles, stir-fry for 1 minute, stir in the sauce (small pouch) and cook for 2 minutes. Serves 2 with fresh coriander, peanuts and a wedge of lime. Please ensure food is fully cooked and piping hot throughout before serving. As appliances may vary, these are guidelines only. If you don't like whole spices, grind these in a pestle and mortar and add them at step 2. Alternatively, if you left the spices whole, remove them with a spoon before serving. Tailor to Taste - For an extra special Thai-style flavour experience, use chicken, prawns and tofu. - Try chopping the chilli from the herb and spice pack or adding sliced fresh red chillies for a spicy kick. - Top with crispy onions and sesame seeds for extra crunch. - To make it a delicious hot and sour noodle soup, add 2 tbsp of red chilli purée and 400ml of chicken stock.
