Peach maple smash

Grilled peach slices add an almost smoky caramelisation to the flavours in the glass. To get nicely defined stripes, try not to move the slices while they’re on the griddle or barbecue.

Ingredients

  • 1 peach, sliced, grilled
  • 15ml maple syrup
  • 15ml lemon juice
  • 50ml bourbon whiskey
  • 150ml Ginger beer

Method

  1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle 2 grilled peach slices with the maple syrup and lemon juice. Add 50ml bourbon and ice.

  2. Shake and strain into an ice-filled rocks glass. Top up with ginger beer. Stir and garnish with a grilled peach slice.
