Ingredients

  • 400g can chickpeas in water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Ottolenghi Sweet & Smokey
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp fine salt


Method

  1. Drain and rinse the chickpeas, then dry well with kitchen paper or a clean tea towel. Toss with the olive oil, sweet & smokey seasoning, cayenne pepper and salt. Mix together well, then tip into an air fryer basket, shaking so the chickpeas sit in a single layer. Air fry at 200ºC (or roast in a preheated oven on a large parchment-lined baking sheet at 200ºC, gas mark 6) for 15-20 minutes, shaking halfway, until crisp and golden. They will become even crunchier once cool.
