It's not clear where this combination of tequila, triple sec and lime originates – a popular theory is that it's named after Dallas socialite Margaret Sames who mixed one up in Acapulco, Mexico in the 1940s.
20ml De Kuyper Triple Sec
20ml fresh lime juice
5ml sugar syrup
Lime wedge, to garnish
Add the tequila, De Kuyper Triple Sec, fresh lime juice and sugar syrup to a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a chilled margarita glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.
