Cooking instructions

General

Cook thoroughly until the juices run clear and there is no pink meat.

Oven cook

From Chilled

Remove all packaging. Allow the joint to get to room temperature. Place the joint in a roasting tin, rub the skin with a small handful of salt or brush with oil. Place in a pre-heated oven gas mark 6, 200°C for 40 minutes per 500g plus an additional 20 minutes. Cook thoroughly until the juices run clear and there is no pink meat. If crackling is not crispy, remove bands and rind. Place rind on a baking tray and put back in oven until golden brown and crispy. Do not reheat once cooled. (Time 40 min per 500g + 20 min, Oven: 200, Fan: 180, Gas: Gas Mark 6)
