Ingredients
100ml bourbon or rye whiskey
50ml lemon juice
25ml sugar syrup
dash Angostura Bitters
1 egg white
Ice
60ml red wine
Method
Shake together the bourbon or rye whiskey, lemon juice, sugar syrup, Angostura bitters and egg white. Strain into two ice-filled rocks glasses and carefully pour 30ml red wine over each.

Sugar syrup
To make sugar syrup, heat equal parts caster sugar and water over a low heat. Stir occasionally until the sugar has dissolved. Cool before using, and store in a lidded container for up to 1 week.
