Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

The Promoter is set out at the end of these Terms and Conditions.

WHO CAN ENTER

This prize draw is open, subject to any other qualifications in these terms and conditions, to all residents of the United Kingdom who are aged 18 years or over with a valid email address, except for employees of the Promoter, its associated

companies, agents, third parties or anyone else professionally connected with this prize draw. Proof of age may be required. Officers, directors, employees and members of Audley Travel and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, distributors, retailers, sales representatives, advertising and promotion agencies (all such individuals and entities referred to collectively, the “Promotion Entities”), and each of their immediate family members and/or people living in the same household are NOT eligible to enter the prize draw or win a prize. This prize draw is void where prohibited.

By submitting a prize draw entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions. The instructions provided at the point of entry form part of the terms and conditions of this prize draw. In the event of a conflict, these terms and conditions take precedence.

To enter the prize draw you must have an active My Waitrose membership.

No purchase necessary. There is no charge to submit an entry via the website at waitrose.com/winacostaricaholiday. Purchase will not increase your chances of winning. By participating, each entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with these Official Rules and the decisions of Audley Travel Group Limited and Audley Travel US (“The Promoter”), located at New Mill, New Mill Lane, Witney, Oxfordshire, OX29 9SX. Audley Travel’s decisions shall be final and binding in all respects.

DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES

Entries must be received between 00:00 on 22 July and 23:59 on 15 September 2026 (the "Closing Date"). Entries received after the Closing Date will not be accepted

HOW TO ENTER

To enter, simply go to waitrose.com/winacostaricaholiday, follow the prize draw instructions at the top of the page and submit your details and other required information using the online form provided.

There is a limit of one entry per person. Multiple entries submitted directly or with the use of any automated systems will not be entered into the draw.

No responsibility will be accepted for entries that are lost, delayed, mislaid or damaged in transit, regardless of the cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.

Those entries not in accordance with the rules will be void and will entitle the Promoter to exclude the entry from the prize draw; any entry containing false, incomplete or misleading information will be void and will entitle the Promoter to exclude the entry from the prize draw. 

THE PRIZE

The prize is a £10,000 voucher towards a tailor-made Costa Rica trip with Audley Travel. One prize is available. If the final trip cost exceeds the value of the voucher,

the winner is responsible for all additional charges. This offer applies to new bookings only and cannot be used toward existing reservations. The winner must book by 28 February 2027. All travel is subject to the terms and conditions of Audley Travel Ltd, a copy of these can be obtained by calling Audley Travel on 01993 838 040.

Any travel expenses, or any other expenses in the general use of and enjoyment of the prize, that the winners or their guests incur are the sole responsibility of the winners or their guests. Any costs incurred from changes post booking, such as a name change or other amends, are the winner’s responsibility to pay. The winner is responsible for getting to any departure points (for flights etc.), in time for security checks and the check-in procedures on the day of departure. Travel costs to airports are at the winner’s own expense.

The following exclusions apply: The prize does not include travel insurance, passport or visa costs, meals/beverages, any applicable taxes not included in the price, personal spending money or any other costs of a personal nature not stated, all of which are the sole responsibility of the winner.

The prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other Audley Travel or third-party discounts or special offers.

Prizes are subject to availability. They are non-transferable, non-refundable, non-negotiable, and there are no cash alternatives. Audley Travel does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to use the prize voucher. Audley Travel reserves the right at any time to cancel, modify or supersede the competition (including altering prizes) if, in our sole discretion, this competition is not capable (for whatever reason) of being conducted, as specified. Audley Travel reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal value if circumstances beyond their control make this unavoidable.

The winner must book by 28 February 2027

WINNER SELECTION

All valid and, if applicable, correct entries received by the Closing Date will be entered into a prize draw, and the winners will be picked at random.

The winner’s details (surname and county only) will be available for one month after the Closing Date by sending a request to the Promoter at Waitrose Limited, Media Team, Floor 2, Waite House, Doncastle Road, Southern Industrial Area, Bracknell RG12 8YA, enclosing a stamped self-addressed envelope, or alternatively by emailing customerserviceteam@waitrose.co.uk.

WINNER NOTIFICATION

Winners will be notified by email, text or phone call as soon as practicable after the prize draw, using the contact details provided with the prize draw entry. The winners will be required to respond within 30 days of notification (unless otherwise stated) confirming their acceptance of the prize. In the event winners do not respond to communications within this period or if any prize is declined, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify that winner and draw another winner.

Please allow 90 days from the date of the winner’s address verification for delivery of the prize.

DATA PROTECTION

We will treat all of your personal data as confidential. We will keep it on a secure server and fully comply with all applicable privacy regulations and consumer legislation. The personal information supplied when entering this competition will be processed by Audley Travel in accordance with their Privacy Policy. At any time, if you wish for your personal data to be erased from systems, please email dataprotection@audleytravel.com. However, if a request for data erasure is received prior to the conclusion of this competition, then you will forfeit your right to winning.

All entrants agree to abide by these terms and conditions, and the Promoter reserves the right to exclude entrants for any breach of these terms and conditions. The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The Promoter and its associated agencies, companies and distributors will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this prize draw or accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including liability for fraud or death or personal injury arising from negligence) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law. Your statutory rights are not affected.

If you have opted-in to receive further information or marketing from any of the Promoter’s agents or suppliers involved in the administration of this prize draw, you understand and accept that the relevant third party will be solely responsible for any processing of your personal data for these purposes, that such processing will be governed by terms of that third party’s privacy policy and that the Promoter accepts no responsibility or liability in association with any such data processing for these purposes.

GENERAL

If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions or if the Promoter believes that your conduct may be unlawful or otherwise bring the prize draw into disrepute, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to make your entry void and will entitle the Promoter to exclude you from participating in the prize draw.

The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

The Promoter reserves the right to suspend, cancel, or amend the prize draw where it becomes necessary to do so, with no liability to any entrants or third parties.

This prize draw and all issues arising out of it shall be governed in accordance with English Law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
