Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

The Promoter is set out at the end of these Terms and Conditions.

WHO CAN ENTER

This prize draw is open, subject to any other qualifications in these terms and conditions, to all residents of the United Kingdom (excluding Northern Ireland) who are aged 18 years or over with a valid email address, except for employees of the Promoter, its associated companies, agents, third parties or anyone else professionally connected with this prize draw. Proof of age may be required.

By submitting a prize draw entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions. The instructions provided at the point of entry form part of the terms and conditions of this prize draw. In the event of a conflict, these terms and conditions take precedence.

To enter the prize draw you must have an active My Waitrose membership.

No purchase necessary. There is no charge to submit an entry via the website at waitrose.com/winwithricola. 

DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES

Entries must be received between 12.01am on 30 September 2026 and 11.59pm on 27 October 2026 (the “Closing Date”). Entries received after the Closing Date will not be accepted.

HOW TO ENTER

To enter, simply go to waitrose.com/winwithricola, follow the prize draw instructions at the top of the page and submit your details and other required information using the online form provided.

There is a limit of one entry per person. Multiple entries submitted directly or with the use of any automated systems will not be entered into the draw.

No responsibility will be accepted for entries that are lost, delayed, mislaid or damaged in transit, regardless of the cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.

Those entries not in accordance with the rules will be void and will entitle the Promoter to exclude the entry from the prize draw; any entry containing false, incomplete or misleading information will be void and will entitle the Promoter to exclude the entry from the prize draw. 

THE PRIZE

The prize is a weekend in Switzerland for two people. There is one prize available to be won.

The holiday can only take place if both participants have valid passports with permitted travel to Switzerland. The prize is valid for two adults, subject to availability, for travel between 1 November 2026 and 1 June 2027. The prize is a two-night holiday in Switzerland for two people. The prize includes: one set of Friday–Sunday return tickets in economy class for two adults for a flight from London Heathrow or London Gatwick to Zurich Airport; a two-night stay at the Hotel Des Alps, with breakfast included (subject to availability). No lunch or dinner meals are included. Luggage allowance consists of carry-on only (1x handbag and 1 x small suitcase up to 10kg). Also included in the prize are airport transfers from the airport to the hotel only and a return journey from the hotel to the airport. The prize does not include any UK transport or accommodation. The winner will be responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the UK airport. Airport parking, if needed, is not included in the prize.

Any other expenses in the general use of and enjoyment of the prize that the winner or their guests incur are the sole responsibility of the winner or their guests. All accommodation is a standard twin or double room. Meals (excluding breakfast) are not included in the prize. The prize does not include access to the airport lounge, priority security clearance or priority boarding. Travel is subject to the standard terms and conditions of carriage of the airline. Travel insurance is not provided but is mandatory for travel. It is the winner’s responsibility to ensure that both they and the person travelling with them have a valid passport.

This prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and no cash alternative will be offered. The decision as to the winner is final. No part of the prize can be booked separately. Flights are subject to availability and may be changed or cancelled by the airline for administrative reasons without prior notice. Once ticketed, flights cannot be changed, and the prize will be forfeited if not taken. The tickets cannot be transferred to any other party or parties. Frequent flyer miles cannot be accrued or redeemed in connection with prize tickets. No upgrades can be purchased in conjunction with the prize, nor can the destination or number of participants be changed. In the event that the prize is out of stock or if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control make it necessary to do so, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute another item, in its sole discretion, of equal or higher value. 

WINNER SELECTION

All valid and, if applicable, correct entries received by the Closing Date will be entered into a prize draw, and the winners will be picked at random.

The winner’s details (surname and county only) will be available for one month after the Closing Date by sending a request to the Promoter at Waitrose Limited, Media Team, Floor 2, Waite House, Doncastle Road, Southern Industrial Area, Bracknell RG12 8YA, enclosing a stamped self-addressed envelope, or alternatively by emailing customerserviceteam@waitrose.co.uk.

WINNER NOTIFICATION

Winners will be notified by email, text or phone call as soon as practicable after the prize draw, using the contact details provided with the prize draw entry. The winners will be required to respond within 30 days of notification (unless otherwise stated) confirming their acceptance of the prize. In the event winners do not respond to communications within this period or if any prize is declined, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify that winner and draw another winner.

Please allow 30 days from the date of the winner’s address verification for delivery of the prize.

We will treat all of your personal data as confidential. We will keep it on a secure server and fully comply with all applicable privacy regulations and consumer legislation. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The Promoter and its associated agencies, companies and distributors will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this prize draw or accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including liability for fraud or death or personal injury arising from negligence) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law. Your statutory rights are not affected.

If you have opted-in to receive further information or marketing from any of the Promoter’s agents or suppliers involved in the administration of this prize draw, you understand and accept that the relevant third party will be solely responsible for any processing of your personal data for these purposes, that such processing will be governed by terms of that third party’s privacy policy and that the Promoter accepts no responsibility or liability in association with any such data processing for these purposes.  

GENERAL

If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions or if the Promoter believes that your conduct may be unlawful or otherwise bring the prize draw into disrepute, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to make your entry void and will entitle the Promoter to exclude you from participating in the prize draw.

The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

The Promoter reserves the right to suspend, cancel, or amend the prize prize draw where it becomes necessary to do so, with no liability to any entrants or third parties.

This prize draw and all issues arising out of it shall be governed in accordance with English Law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
