Kir spritzer for a crowd

Popularised in the 1940s, the Kir Royale is enduringly chic but has recently enjoyed a revival (thank you, Emily in Paris). Here's our shareable spritzer version – perfect for barbecues, picnics or pretending that you're on a Parisian terrace. Say cheers for more cocktail recipes.

Ingredients

  • 60ml De Kuyper Crème de Cassis
  • 50ml gin
  • 200ml sparkling wine (we used Prosecco)
  • 150ml sparkling water
  • ice cubes
  • Blackcurrants or redcurrants, to garnish

Method

  1. Pour the De Kuyper Crème de Cassis and gin into a jug or carafe and stir. Top with the sparkling wine and sparkling water.

  2. Fill four wine glasses with ice cubes and nestle in a few fresh blackcurrants or redcurrants. Divide the cocktail between the glasses.

If you have space, put your glasses into the freezer so they’re icy cold.
